Suburbs

Arakoon is the original settlement of the town of South West Rocks. The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service operates a popular campground there. In 1877 work on the Trial Bay Gaol commenced and in 1886 it was proclaimed a prison and inmates moved there.

New Entrance is the place with the boat ramps and fishing charters leave from this area. New Entrance is home to the Riverside Tavern. The area has panoramic views of the area and the Pacific Ocean.

Jerseyville is a small and a well-known fishing village between Spencers Creek and the Macleay River. The village consists of one street lined with houses. It is a satellite suburb of South West Rocks.

Oceanside is the a new subdivision opened up at South West Rocks, located at the entrance to the town, around the new The Rocks Shopping Fair. The area is  the newest land development and is home to the towns newer houses. It consists of 3 main streets, Belle O' Connor Street, Peter Mark Crt, and Dennis Cresent.

Spencerville is a southern suburb of South West Rocks and is home to a large majority of the towns’ industry. Spencerville was once a separate village to the town of South West Rocks but recent development has joined them.
